The goddess wears chiton over which passes obliquely her himation. Her hair forms locks over the forehead and she has her head covered with her garment. A painted motif is preserved on the himation whereas traces of the necklace, also rendered in colour, around her neck are still seen. The left forearm is missing but the hand would have rested on her knee. The right arm, bent at the elbow and in front of her chest, holds a newly born deer.
The figurine is intensely burnt, mainly on the front and the sides, perhaps due to the destruction of the Acropolis by the Persians in 480 BC.
